In two lines
- The game has no accounts, asks for no personal data and sends nothing to servers of our own. Your best score and settings are stored only on your device.
- It shows Google AdMob ads and collects anonymous usage statistics with Google Analytics. In Europe we ask for your permission first; without it there are no statistics and ads are limited. On iPhone and iPad, iOS also asks whether you allow ad tracking. You can change all of this at any time.
1. Who is responsible
Yoyo Yeti: Rope Swing Runner ("the game") is developed and published by Alejandro Morón Durán, based in Spain ("we"). For any privacy question you can write to support@buttonic.com.
This policy applies to the game on Android and on iOS (iPhone and iPad). Where something works differently on each system, it is stated.
2. Data we process directly
None. The game does not ask you to sign up, does not request your name or email, does not access your contacts, photos, location or microphone, and has no servers of its own to send information to. The only data that leaves the device is that of the Google services described in sections 3 and 4.
The game stores on your device, and only there, a few pieces of operating data:
- your best score;
- your settings: sound, music, language and playing hand;
- a few usage counters (runs played, play time and distinct days) used solely to decide when to show you an invitation to rate the game, and whether you have already seen it.
This data is never transmitted to anyone and is removed when you uninstall the game. On Android you can also clear it from the system settings, under "Clear data" for the app.
3. Advertising: Google AdMob
The game is free and is funded by an advertising banner in a fixed strip of the screen. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited (for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) and Google LLC (rest of the world).
To show and measure ads, the Google SDK built into the game may collect and process, on behalf of Google and its advertising partners:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Device advertising ID (on iOS, only if you allow tracking) | Personalising ads and capping their frequency, measuring performance and detecting fraud. On Android you can reset or delete it in the system settings; on iOS, withdraw tracking permission. |
| IP address and the approximate location derived from it | Serving ads for the relevant country or region and complying with applicable law. |
| Technical device data (model, operating system, language, carrier, screen size, game version) and diagnostic, performance and crash data from the SDK itself | Adapting ads to the device, measuring how they perform and diagnosing SDK problems. |
| Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks) | Measurement, billing advertisers and fraud prevention. |
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can read it, together with an explanation of how Google uses information from apps that integrate its services, at:

Consent and personalised ads
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the first time you open the game you will see a message from Google's consent platform (User Messaging Platform) that lets you accept, decline or configure the use of your data for advertising, under the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework. Your choice is stored on your device.
- If you accept, ads may be personalised.
- If you decline, you will still see ads, but limited ones: no identifiers and no personalisation.
- You can change your decision at any time from Settings → Ad consent inside the game.
Outside those regions you can limit ad personalisation from the system settings: on Android, under Google → Ads; on iOS, by not allowing tracking.
Apple's tracking prompt (iOS)
On iPhone and iPad, after the consent message, iOS asks whether you allow the game to track your activity (App Tracking Transparency). Only if you allow it may Google use the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for ads and for the statistics in section 4. If you don't, the game works the same and that identifier is not used. You can change your decision at any time in the iOS settings, under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4. Usage statistics: Google Analytics for Firebase
To understand how the game is played and improve it (for example, how long runs last or which level ends most of them), the game integrates Google Analytics for Firebase, a Google service. It collects aggregated usage data: app opens, session length, game version, device model and operating system, approximate country derived from the IP address, and the gameplay events we log, such as the end of a run with its score. It is tied to a random installation identifier, not to your name. On Android we have disabled the advertising ID for this service; on iOS it can only use it if you have allowed tracking (section 3).
Collection is off until you decide: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it is enabled only if, in the consent message, you agree to storing information on your device for Google. If you decline, nothing is collected. You can change this in Settings → Ad consent; it applies as soon as you return to the game. Outside those regions collection is active; Google keeps the data for at most 14 months. More in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Other store services
- In-app reviews. When the game invites you to rate it, the rating dialog is shown by the store (Google Play or the App Store), which handles that interaction under its own policy. We receive no information about your rating.
- Stability statistics. Google Play and Apple may send us aggregated, anonymous crash and performance reports for the game, depending on the usage and diagnostics settings of your device (on iOS, if you have agreed to share analytics with developers). They contain nothing that identifies you.
6. Sharing your score
The share button generates an image with your score and opens your device's share sheet. You choose which app to share it with and with whom; the game does not send the image anywhere and does not know what you do with it. On iOS, if you choose to save the image from that menu, the system will ask for permission to add it to Photos; the game does not read your photo library.
7. App permissions
On Android, the game only uses the internet and network-state permissions, needed to load ads, and the permission to keep the screen on during a run. On iOS, it only asks for permission for ad tracking (section 3) and, if you choose to save the image when sharing, to add it to Photos. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.
8. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child in your care has provided us with data, write to us and we will delete it; note that we store no data ourselves, so requests concerning advertising will be passed on to Google.
9. Legal basis and retention
We store no personal data about you. Usage statistics are processed on the basis of your consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and of our legitimate interest in improving the game elsewhere, with a maximum retention of 14 months in Google Analytics. Advertising-related processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller, based on your consent in those same regions and for the periods described in its privacy policy.
You can delete the data on your device at any time by uninstalling the game or clearing its data. To request deletion of the usage statistics tied to your installation, write to us at support@buttonic.com and we will handle it with Google.
10. Data security
The data that leaves the device is sent by the Google SDKs (AdMob and Firebase) encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS, and Google keeps it under its own security measures. We have no servers or databases of our own, so we neither store nor have access to personal data. The data the game keeps on the device (best score, settings and counters) stays in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access.
11. Your rights
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your data, rectify or erase it, restrict or object to its processing, data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can exercise them with Google through the links above and your Google account, and with us by writing to support@buttonic.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
12. Changes to this policy
If the game adds features that change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. The current version is always available from the "Privacy policy" button in the game's settings and from its store listing.
